About the role
10XG is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Indian Health Service at Cheyenne River Health Center in Eagle Butte, South Dakota. The CNA provides direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff in an outpatient and inpatient setting serving the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe. This is a full-time, on-site position under a federal services contract; relocation support is discussed at offer.
Responsibilities
- Take and record vital signs, assist with activities of daily living and patient mobility, and support admissions and discharges.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and report changes in patient condition to the nurse on duty.
- Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and follow infection-control procedures.
- Assist nursing staff with procedures, transport and patient education as directed.
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in any U.S. state; South Dakota reciprocity completed before start.
- Current BLS certification.
- One or more years of clinical experience preferred; new graduates with strong clinical rotations considered.
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and meet Indian Health Service health and immunization requirements.
Compensation and schedule
Hourly wage and health-and-welfare benefit per the applicable U.S. Department of Labor Service Contract Act wage determination. Paid federal holidays and paid time off per the wage determination; additional benefits reviewed at offer.
